ToonTV is an American basic cable and satelite television channel that airs animation all hours of the day. It was launched on May 25th, 2007 in the United States as ToonNation and airs animated shows from various networks.
As of May 2014, ToonTV is available to approximately 93,496,059 American households (55.13% Households with television) In the United States of America.
In 2003, Derpy Enterprises approached various networks with the idea of making a 24 hour animation only network. The networks offered their programming and a name was later thought of; ToonNation. The channel was set to be launched in October 2006 but was delayed until 2007. The network was launched in May 2007 with pilot episodes of 24 classic shows.
2014 Rebrand: Golden era and Fifth BirthdayEdit
After all Disney Afternoon programming was dropped, the network's rating began decreasing. It was later decided that the network needed a rebrand with some all new shows like Big Fanon and Daria. The rebrand happened on August 10, 2014.
Since it's launch in 2007, ToonTV has aired cartoon programming from various networks.
